Ramadan line-up revealed by Abu Dhabi TV and Emarat TV, focussing on the history of the UAE

The shows will range from Emirati and regional dramas to comedies as well as informative programmes focussed on the history of the UAE.

Abu Dhabi Media has announced its new Ramadan lineup that includes more than 20 new shows for its TV channels, Abu Dhabi TV and Emarat TV. 

The shows will range from Emirati and regional dramas to comedies as well as informative programmes focussed on the history of the UAE and its founder Sheikh Zayed. Broadcast times are yet to be confirmed. 

Some of the key shows in the lineup for Abu Dhabi TV include Al Saahir, Al Nahaat, Reggalet Al Beit and Jannat Halli

Al Saahir is a Lebanese drama starring Syrian star Salam Ksiri. He plays Mina, who hopes to turn his fortunes by seeking the help of astrologer Aziz (Stephanie Saliba). 

Al Nahaat is a romance series starring Bassel Khayyat and Algerian singer Amel Bouchoucha. The latter plays Maya, who in her search for clues behind her mother’s death, falls in love with the mysterious Yaman (Khayyat).

Reggalet Al Beit sees Egypt’s Ahmed Fahmy and Akram Hosny play a pair of careless cousins fighting against an eviction notice by a livid landlord. Jannat Halli is a cross-generational saga about a family which examines the notion of unconditional love in a rapidly modernising Kuwait.

For Emarat TV, shows in the lineup include Al Shahd Al Murr, Khashe’ Nashe, and Miftah Al Qifl.

Ramadan drama Al Shahd Al Murr examines the concept of marriage through two distinct relationships. Khashe’ Nashe gives a glimpse of a simpler time in their role as brothers coming to terms with a rapidly evolving UAE.
