April 21, 2020

Author: Editorial Team

The campaign is a part of efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the province; Limpopo has 26 diagnosed Coronavirus cases and 18 people who have recovered. However, the province experienced its first death due to the virus last week.

A donation of 500 phones was delivered to the workers at the weekend on Saturday 18th April 2020. Each handset contains 2GB of data, 900 Cell C minutes (45 mins on other networks) all valid for 30 days.

We believe that this donation will make a difference to the lives of the fieldworkers who are doing such tremendous work in difficult conditions to curb the spread of Covid-19. Cell C continues to play its part in helping our customers and communities stay connected, informed and safe particularly during this trying time with this global health crisis.

Juliet Mhango, Cell C’s Chief Human Capital Development and Transformation Officer
