Mr. Masood M. Sharif Mahmood To Take Over as the New CEO for Etisalat UAE

Emirates Telecommunications Group Company (Etisalat Group) PJSC has announced the appointment of Mr. Masood M. Sharif Mahmood as Etisalat UAE operations Chief Executive Officer, effective from 29th August 2021, and will be reporting to Etisalat Group Chief Executive Officer. This new role is part of Etisalat Group’s transformation strategy that targets increased focus on diversifying and capturing growth opportunities within the UAE market while accelerating business development in the digital space, expanding geographic presence and maximizing operational efficiency in existing markets.

Mr. Masood is a widely experienced senior executive with a strong operational and financial track record spanning over 20 years primarily in the telecom and technology sectors. He earlier was the CEO of Yahsat. He has also served on the Board of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company for seven years (2013 – 2020). Mr. Masood holds an MBA from McGill University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University.
