Netflix has announced the launch of a free plan that allows people to enjoy Netflix ad-free on Android mobile phones in Kenya. When they sign-up, no payment information is required. All users have to do is enter their email, confirm they are 18 or over, and create a password. Then they can sit back and watch many of Netflix’s most popular series and films, as well as enjoy personalized recommendations, parental controls, and profiles (including kids).

As per the company’s statement, the offer is designed for new users to experience Netflix’s service. They could then easyily upgrade to one of its paid plans and get access to its full catalog on their TV or laptop as well.

“We hope it’s a great match and that many of the people who try our free plan love Netflix so much that over time they upgrade to a full, paid subscription.”

Netflix in a Press Release

The free plan will start rolling out in Kenya over the next few weeks.
