PEACE to Widen its Global Network with iColo
PEACE Cable International Network Co., Limited, an international submarine cable system company which is devoted to interconnected global communications, announces to deploy the PEACE CABLE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK CO. LIMITED submarine cable system at iColo, a leading carrier and cloud neutral data center provider, at their data center (MBA1) in Mombasa, Kenya. This will widen the PEACE global network connection and increase its competitiveness and connectivity across the Kenya, East Africa and the African continent. This new cable system strengthens Mombasa’s role as the Gateway to Africa.
PEACE will provide high-capacity, low-latency routes connecting Asia, Europe and Africa with industry-leading high-speed access for connectivity providers. It will also maintain low-latency connections for data transmission in multiple aspects such as content, cloud, gaming and video streaming platforms. This will provide access to the other networks at MBA1 for unique high-capacity routes directly to Europe and Asia as MBA1 has more than 40 connectivity providers and multiple internet exchanges supporting an even larger group of local and global customers to execute their digital transformation strategies across the globe.

The 15,000 km high-speed PEACE submarine cable adopts advanced technology of 16Tpbs per fiber pair with 200Gbps per single wavelength building a new routing path between the regions while providing greater resiliency and performance for interconnecting global workflows. In addition to Kenya, the cable will reach France, Malta, Cyprus, Egypt, Seychelles, Pakistan and other countries and regions.
