James Manyika Appointed as Google’s First VP of Technology and Society

James Manyika has been appointed as Google’s first Senior Vice President of Technology and Society.

In a recent announcement, Google has disclosed the news of the appointment of James Manyika as its first Senior Vice President of Technology and Society. Manyika is expected to directly report to Sundar Pichai who is Alphabet’s CEO.

“I’m thrilled that James Manyika will be joining Google’s leadership team. He’s spent decades working at the intersection of technology and society and has advised a number of businesses, academic institutions and governments along the way.”

Reportedly James Manyika is an Oxford and University of Zimbabwe graduate and he is currently serving on various research boards of top institutions including MIT, Oxford, Harvard, and Stanford.
