Airtel Africa’s Investors Sell 58m Shares in Placing

In a recent turn of events, Airtel Africa saw a tumble after their funds which were managed by Warburg Pincus and Morningstar Investment was sold. Reportedly, they sold 58m shares in a placing in a telecommunications group.

During this, Citigroup acted as a sole bookrunner and global coordinator with the offering and Airtel Africa reportedly did not receive any proceedings whatsoever.
