For decades, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona has been the prime annual trade show in the mobile communications industry. It is the one event that brings all the major players in the connectivity sector under one roof.

This year’s edition will take place between February 28 and March 3, and will run both virtually and in-person. Organizers of the event, GSMA, have expressed delight that exhibitors will be physically present at the expo in Barcelona. They have also assured that proactive measures will be put in place to keep all participants safe upon arrival.

The MWC 2022 will be held under the theme “Connectivity Unleashed,” with sub-themes in 5G Connect, Advancing AI, Fintech, Internet of Everything, CloudNet, and Tech Horizon.

In line with this, we at TechAfrica News — as a media platform devoted to delivering timely and distinctive content on all things technology, media, and telecom — are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with MWC 22 Barcelona as an official media consort.

This is a mandate we are truly proud of.

“We have always supported initiatives that promote and drive tech innovation — and the MWC is no exception. We are happy to be a part of MWC 2022 and we intend to deliver an engaging virtual experience of the event to our audience. Our ultimate objective is to further fuel the digital ecosystem in Africa and beyond with insights from the event.”
