Qatar Central Bank Issues Digital Payment Licenses to Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo Money

Qatar Central Bank has announced that they have issued digital payment licenses to iPay by Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo Money.

Qatar Central Bank has disclosed through a tweet that they have issued their first license for digital payments to iPay by Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo Money.

These new services include the issuing of electronic wallets through the iPay mobile payment system, which provides a payment feature for merchants and enables users to transfer funds locally. The electronic wallet also facilitates international money transfers via a licensed bank or exchange service in the State of Qatar.
