The Minister of Communications and Digitalisation in Ghana, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has announced that the SIM cards that have been liked with an ID but not gone through the second phase of registrations will promptly be deactivated on 30th November 2022.

The ministry had earlier reported that there has been a noticeable decline in SIM-related fraud since the inception of the registration process.

Their inability to complete phase two attests to the robustness of the authentication process designed into the SIM registration architecture.
