December 8, 2022

Author: Akim Benamara

The Turkish Telecom provider, Turkcell, has consistently pursued MTN Group over the alleged reason that the telecommunication licensing process in Iran was allegedly rigged.

In this case, which has been going on for almost 10 years, the MTN headquarters is located in South Africa and the law due to the fact that it is the place where contrary actions are planned, it is necessary to apply South African law.

We maintain our conviction that the South African courts are also competent. For this reason, our Company will exercise all its legal rights, including appealing against this decision, and we must if the damage suffered should be compensated, the relevant MTN managers should be held accountable and he will continue to seek his right to the end and with determination to ensure that they are punished.
