The Kenyan Government has announced its intentions to link its tax collection systems to financial platforms on mobile. This step is being taken in an effort to identify tax evaders and in turn help boost the country’s revenues and repair their coffers.

The government further disclosed that they plan on increasing their tax collections by 17% which is approximately $20.7 Billion.

This is expected to boost the country’s debt sustainability position.
