Mawingu, the Kenyan internet service provider have announced that they have raised 1.12 Billion KSH (9M USD) to expand operations to 25 more counties in Kenya.

We are proud to announce that we have closed our Series B round, raising a total of 9 million USD, thanks to the collaboration of our new investor InfraCo Africa, and our existing partners E3, and FMO. The funds will support us in our mission to open opportunities through the power of the internet by expanding into 25 more counties in Kenya.

Statement by Mawingu

Mawingu’s aim is not to simply drop an Internet cable at someone’s house. We seek to help our customers access new opportunities for work, education, entertainment, and social connections through the power of the internet. Our company’s mission is driven by this very purpose: Open Opportunities.
