stc’s “Smart Bus” Helps the Elderly with Modern Technology

The “Smart Bus” concluded its first phase, which was launched by the stc group to enable the elderly to deal with modern technologies after passing through a number of governorates in the Riyadh region. Through its partnership with Huawei.

Since its inception, the smart bus has attracted more than 2,000 elderly beneficiaries to educate them on how to deal with modern technologies and use the most important mobile applications, which include more than 140 educational technology sessions that focus on government applications such as: Preach, Tawakkolna, My Health, Tawakkolna Services, Najiz, in addition to the application mystc, to help them obtain services and raise awareness about the use of the Internet and protection from electronic fraud crimes and raise awareness in the field of confidentiality and preservation of information, and the project supports the elderly to learn about the most important skills and modern technologies, through smart buses that roam a number of the Kingdom’s governorates, and the bus trip included The governorates and villages of Al-Quwai’iyah, Al-Dawadmi, Markaz Al-Jamish, Shaqra, Ashiqir, Rawdat Sudair, Al-Qasab, Al-Zulfi, Al-Kharj, Al-Aflaj, and Al-Sulayel. The bus was launched last February with the aim of reaching the largest number of elderly people to enrich their knowledge and empower them in the digital field.

The smart bus project is a continuation of the projects offered by stc group. As part of its community initiatives to support communities and non-profit sectors, and to complement its efforts in the field of sustainability with the aim of contributing to a sustainable future, and doubling the positive environmental and social impact, based on its leadership position as the most prominent and important provider of digital services in the Kingdom and the region.
