MTN Nigeria, the country’s leading telecommunications company, has teamed up with Amazon’s Prime Video to offer Nigerian customers a new streaming service option. Prime Video Mobile Edition is a mobile-only subscription service that offers access to Amazon’s full catalogue of over 9,000 movies and 1,500 TV shows. The service will be available to MTN subscribers, who will also benefit from an affordable data package for streaming and downloading.

With this partnership, MTN Nigeria aims to provide millions of Nigerians with a convenient and cost-effective way to access high-quality entertainment on their own terms, wherever and whenever they want it. As video-on-demand continues to grow in popularity, the launch of Prime Video Mobile Edition in Nigeria is a significant step towards making premium content more accessible and affordable for all customers.

Prime Video Mobile Edition is expected to be particularly popular among Nigeria’s Nollywood fans, as the platform already has over 150 Nollywood titles available, with several more Nigerian originals currently in development. The partnership between MTN and Prime Video is expected to bring value not only to customers but also to the Nigerian movie industry as a whole.

Hassan Jaber, COO of MTN Nigeria, expressed his excitement about the partnership and the potential it has to benefit both MTN’s customers and the Nigerian movie industry. He believes that the launch of Prime Video Mobile Edition will make every customer’s journey to their desired content more accessible and affordable.

We are excited to offer Prime Video subscriptions to millions of Nigerians providing them with access to entertainment on their own terms – where and when they want it. Video-on-demand has become a major part of our lives and this launch offer is important to make every customer’s journey to their desired content more accessible and affordable. The Prime Video platform boasts thousands of titles with over 150 Nollywood titles already and with several Nigerian Originals currently in the pipeline. We are confident this relationship will bring value to both our customers and the Nigerian movie industry.
