South Africa Sees the Arrival of a New MVNO, Melon Mobile

Melon Mobile, a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in South Africa, was successfully launched on April 13th, 2023. This new MVNO is fully digital as it relies on MTN’s network for its services and doesn’t have a physical infrastructure.

Melon is set to change how South Africans do mobile. We’ve built a service that puts the consumer first, giving them the freedom to choose their monthly data, voice and texts needs, without locking them into anything. It’s about flexibility, value and perhaps most importantly, simplicity.
