32-Year-Old Salima Mormorna Bah Appointed Sierra Leone’s Communication Minister
Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio, has appointed Salima Mormorna Bah, a 32-year-old barrister and solicitor, as the new Minister of Communication, Technology, and Innovation. In her new role, Bah will spearhead Sierra Leone’s digital journey, leading initiatives to promote the use of technology for the country’s development.
Salima Mormorna Bah holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Wales (Holborn College) and is an active member of the Sierra Leone Bar Association. With her legal expertise and dedication to the rights of women and children, she also serves as an executive member of Lawyers, a non-profit organization of female lawyers focused on defending the rights of vulnerable groups.
As the Minister of Communication, Technology, and Innovation, Bah will play a crucial role in driving technological advancements in Sierra Leone and harnessing the potential of digital solutions to propel the nation’s growth and development.
