MTN strengthens its risk management with the appointment of Bradley Swanepoel as Chief Risk Officer effective from 1 October 2023.
Bradley currently serving as General Manager: Finance Business Partner, brings a wealth of organisation-wide experience across MTN’s Enterprise, Consumer, Fintech, and Technology sectors. His comprehensive understanding of MTN’s operations perfectly aligns with the requirements of a Chief Risk Officer.

Bradley’s extensive background as a seasoned CA (SA) and finance executive, with over 20 years of senior leadership experience, makes him an invaluable addition to our team. His strategic lens and deep telecoms expertise will enhance the role of risk as a strategic lever within our business.

As we strive to achieve our Ambition 2025 strategy, it is crucial that our business initiatives are supported by robust functions that lay a strong foundation for our commercial operations. In today’s intricate and rapidly changing business environment, a strong risk assessment capability is essential to mitigate risks that could impact productivity and profitability.

Charles Molapisi, CEO, MTN SA

South African businesses, including MTN, face various challenges that pose risks to their operations. I am excited to work alongside my team to identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring that MTN continues to be a leading provider of value-added services to South Africans.
