Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed technology group, 4Sight Holdings, has appointed Douglas Ramaphosa as an independent non-executive director, effective from August. With over 40 years of experience in executive management and board roles, Ramaphosa brings valuable expertise to the company.

Currently serving as chairman of IRCA Proprietary Limited, a training firm focusing on health, safety, environment, and quality matters in the mining industry, Ramaphosa also holds positions on the board of Curro Holdings Limited, South Africa’s largest private education firm. Moreover, he chairs the newly established Johannesburg Surgical Hospital board and BGM Pharmaceuticals.

The announcement of Ramaphosa’s appointment highlighted his prior roles as an independent non-executive director for EnviroServ, Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa, STADIO, as well as senior executive positions at corporations like Altron, Transnet, ABSA, and Anglo American. His leadership roles also included being CEO of Bytes Healthcare Solutions and managing director of Bytes Specialized Solutions, along with serving on the boards of Anglo American (SA) and Eskom Enterprises, while chairing Rotek Industries.

As 4Sight Holdings focuses on technology and telecommunications investments through its subsidiaries, the company has achieved remarkable performance in the past three years. Now, with plans to expand into Africa, 4Sight aims to broaden returns and strengthen its presence in the market.

During the current reporting period, the company’s channel partner division witnessed robust revenue growth, engaging nearly 800 partners across its African markets. This move signifies 4Sight Holdings’ commitment to further expanding its reach and operations across the continent.
