stc Group Successfully Trials 10Gbps 5G Technology in the Middle East and North Africa

stc Group, the leading digital enabler in the region, announced today the success of the first live trials of the advanced fifth generation in the Middle East and North Africa, reaching high speeds exceeding 10Gbps using (mmwave) technology, thus completing a new stage that places the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the ranks of developed countries in the world of communications. 

These experiences come as a complement to the solid infrastructure of the advanced 5.5G network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reach new record speed data transmission in a lively work environment, which will open the way for a qualitative shift in providing new services and unique and unprecedented customer experiences and open new horizons for communication that transcends spatial and temporal boundaries.

The success of these experiments is part of stc’s Dare strategy, which provides access to new services and transfers customer experiences to further stages, in line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and supporting digital transformation in the region.
