SoftwareOne, a leading technology solutions provider, has named Makhosini Dlamini as its Business Development Executive for South Africa and Africa, reinforcing its commitment to advancing technological solutions in the region. Dlamini, a seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience in the ICT sector, will work in tandem with Marilyn Moodley, the Country Leader and Local Director for South Africa and Africa at SoftwareOne, along with a dynamic sales team comprising Kyasha Wardman, Thiren Reddy, Calvin Kodisang, and Navi Pillay.

Moodley expressed confidence in Dlamini’s appointment, noting his commendable track record and anticipates that he will be instrumental in propelling SoftwareOne to new heights.

With an extensive background, including 11 years at Microsoft, where he held various positions, such as Service Delivery Manager, Account Technology Strategist, and Account Executive, Dlamini has been involved in significant projects. These projects include UNISA’s migration to Microsoft AD/Exchange and the adoption of the AD/Exchange platform by the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation.

Having experience in Oracle and coming from Vodacom, where he handled Microsoft cloud sales and managed sales in several SADC countries, Dlamini brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role.

Dlamini emphasized the importance of understanding clients’ core business objectives and challenges, enabling SoftwareOne to tailor technology solutions to facilitate their growth. He pointed out that while many clients recognize the necessity of migrating to the cloud, they often face budgetary constraints, and the migration process is complex and resource-intensive, requiring the reconstruction of workloads and applications.

In the current global economic landscape, Dlamini stressed the value of technology, underscoring its significance for businesses facing ongoing constraints.
