Ralph Mupita, the CEO/President of MTN Group, engaged in a productive meeting with His Excellency, Vice President Sen Kashim Shettima of Nigeria, on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit held in Sandton. The meeting also included the Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa, Ambassador Muhammad Haruna Manta.

The discussions revolved around pertinent topics, such as the ongoing governmental reforms and areas of mutual interest. Among these areas, the conversation touched on themes like digital education and e-agriculture. The gathering also shed light on the upcoming MTN Nigeria investor roadshow, scheduled for November 23 in Abuja, which aims to bolster the nation’s digital economy.

A core point emphasized during the meeting was MTN’s unwavering commitment to supporting Nigeria’s socio-economic development. This support is extended both directly and through the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives spearheaded by the MTN Foundation.

The interaction between MTN’s CEO and Nigeria’s Vice President underscores the company’s proactive role in not only contributing to the country’s digital advancement but also aligning with key governmental reforms. Such collaborations lay the foundation for fostering economic growth and technological progress in Nigeria.
