Safaricom Appoints Linda Mesa Wambani as Acting Company Secretary

Safaricom, a leading telecommunications company, has announced the appointment of Linda Mesa Wambani as Acting Company Secretary, effective from 1st October 2023. Linda brings a wealth of experience, boasting over 19 years in legal practice. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Safaricom PLC, she offers vital legal and corporate governance expertise to Safaricom PLC, the M-PESA Foundation, and Safaricom’s ventures in Ethiopia. Prior to her tenure at Safaricom PLC, Linda practiced commercial and litigation law at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews.

Linda holds qualifications as a Certified Public Secretary, along with a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the United States International University (USIU), and a Master of Laws Degree in Commercial Law from the University of Nairobi. Additionally, she is a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths, and holds memberships in the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya, Women on Boards Network, and the Law Society of Kenya.
