Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Federal Republic of Nigeria, took to social media to express his gratitude to outgoing heads of critical agencies. He commended Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Engr. Tukur Mohammed Lawal of the National Communications Satellite Agency (NigComSat) for their remarkable service to the nation.

Dr. Tijani also extended congratulations to the leaders who are continuing their roles, including Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, DG/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Dr. Vincent Olatunji, National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Additionally, he welcomed the newly appointed heads of agencies: Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NCC; Tola Odeyemi, Postmaster General/CEO of Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST); and Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, Managing Director/CEO of NigComSat. A warm welcome was also extended to Idris Alubankudi, assuming the position of Special Adviser to the President on Technology and Digital Economy. The changes signal a new phase of leadership in Nigeria’s dynamic tech sector.

I look forward to collaborating with them all as we work together to drive the renewed hope agenda for the good of our people.

Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Federal Republic of Nigeria
