Saudi Telecom Giants Launch Data Fusion Company for Government Solutions
The Digital Technology Forum 2023, organized by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, launched “Fusion,” a data fusion company that offers innovative solutions to government entities. This initiative is the result of an alliance between telecom service providers “STC,” “Mobily,” and “Zain” and was officially registered in May 2023 within the Regulatory SandBox for innovative Solutions of service providers.
The forum witnessed the official unveiling of the company’s identity where Abdulaziz Alshamsi, Managing Director of Fusion, shared the company’s vision and aspirations, positioning itself as the primary hub for contact data in the Kingdom. He emphasized Fusion’s commitment to offer comprehensive insights to government entities through data collection and analysis from major service providers and submit it as customized data.
During his presentation, Al-Shamsi outlined the company’s product offerings, including demographic analyses, population statistics, data on population size, as well as traffic and transportation statistics, public road routes, and parking information. He also acknowledged the supportive and encouraging roles played by CST through the regulatory SandBox for innovative solutions of service providers.
It’s worth mentioning that “Fusion” signed two memorandums of understanding on the sidelines of the forum, with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Tourism, to explore avenues for enhancing performance efficiency, boosting productivity, and fostering sustainable economic development.
