Uganda Launches Telecom Site in Agago District to Boost Connectivity in Underserved Regions

Minister of ICT, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, led the inauguration of a telecom site in Lapono sub-county, Agago district, as part of the UCC/UCUSAF Access Infrastructure Program.

This initiative, aimed at enhancing connectivity in underserved regions, received a significant boost with the announcement made by Hon. Nyombi Thembo, the Executive Director of the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), on X.

Joined by Dr. Baryomunsi, Hon. Thembo highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring universal access to telecommunication services irrespective of geographical location, economic standing, or physical limitations.
