East Africa-Europe Connectivity Hit by Seacom Cable Outage

Seacom, the subsea cable operator reportedly have been seeing a critical outage in their subsea cable since February 24th. The internet connections between East Africa and Europe have been disrupted due to the said outage.

This outage has reportedly impacted a specific cable segment stretching from Mombasa, Kenya to Zafarana, Egypt.

Reports about the incident have indicated that a tangible timeline for the outage repairs remains unconfirmed.

SEACOM launched Africa’s first broadband submarine cable system along the continent’s Eastern and Southern coasts in 2009. SEACOM stands as the preferred partner for African businesses, network carriers, and service providers.
