AUGENTIC Signs 15-Year Contract to Modernize Cameroon’s ID Card System
AUGENTIC GmbH has announced the signing of a 15-year Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) contract with the Republic of Cameroon. This strategic partnership aims to modernize the ID card infrastructure and introduce a new generation of high secure and efficient ID cards. The contract was signed in Yaoundé by His Excellency Martin Mbarga Nguele, Delegate General for National Security, and Mr. Labinot Carreti, CEO of AUGENTIC.

This long-term commitment reflects our dedication to fostering sustainable development and delivering world-class identity solutions for the Government and citizens of the Republic of Cameroon. This partnership builds on the tremendous success of our previous project with Cameroon, where AUGENTIC built a state-of-the-art secure infrastructure for biometric passport production and issuance with best-in-class SLAs for the citizen, introduced almost 400 high- skilled jobs for local professionals and issued nearly one million biometric passports since July 1, 2021. The efficiency and security improvements AUGENTIC achieved have set a new benchmark for the future endeavors.
