No Internet Shutdown Planned, Kenyans Assured by CA

June 26, 2024

Author: Aayushya Ranjan

The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) has moved to assure Kenyans that there is no internet shutdown planned. The Authority received inquiries regarding an internet shutdown on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, and has refuted these claims entirely.

The CA emphasized that shutting down internet access would violate the Constitution and Kenya’s growing digital economy. They stressed their commitment to upholding freedom of expression and ensuring a healthy online environment.

While assuring uninterrupted internet access, the CA urged Kenyans to use the digital space responsibly and within the confines of the law.pen_sparktunesharemore_vert
