MTN Nigeria Joins PMI Global Executive Council, Pioneering Project Management Innovation in Africa

During a recent visit to Nigeria, Project Management Institute’s Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, George Asamani, MBA, presented the official Certificate of Membership to the PMI Global Executive Council to Roger Shutte, GM of Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering at MTN Nigeria.

As a member of the PMI Global Executive Council, MTN Nigeria is now positioned to influence the future of project management on a global scale. By sharing best practices and insights, MTN Nigeria will contribute to driving transformative change in the industry, setting new standards, and fostering innovation. The knowledge and expertise from MTN, one of the largest mobile network operators in the world and the largest in Africa, will be invaluable in enhancing the collective efforts of the Global Executive Council to advance innovation and excellence in project management.

Africa’s rise in the telecom sector is evident, with rapid advancements and innovations reshaping the continent’s digital landscape. MTN leads this evolution, pioneering cutting-edge technologies and fostering connectivity that empowers millions. This achievement marks a significant milestone, and MTN Nigeria’s membership in the prestigious PMI Global Executive Council sets a new benchmark as the first African telecommunications services provider to reach this level of recognition.
