Huawei Partners with Jordanian Universities to Enhance Digital Education and Innovation
Huawei Company entered into collaborative agreements with several Jordanian academic institutions in the presence of the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, H.E. Mr. Ahmad Hanandeh, and on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Secretary General of the Ministry, Dr. Mamoun Al-Dabai. The agreements were signed by representatives of Middle East University, chaired by Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, and Adam Zhan, General Manager of Huawei.
The signing of the memorandum was attended by notable figures from the university, namely Vice President Prof. Ahmad Al-Louzi, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Prof. Uday Al-Maaytah, Director of Media and Public Relations Mr. Kamal Fraij, Director of the Information Technology Department Mr. Raed Al-Lahham, and Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Mr. Samer Abdul Dayem.
The event, which was attended by a number of Jordanian universities, placed an emphasis on the significance of committing to the utilisation of advanced technology as a means of optimising the educational experience, with the objective of establishing a unified platform through which students can be furnished with the requisite competencies to capitalise on promising opportunities.
Furthermore, the necessity to construct a knowledge-based economy emerged as a key priority, with the objective of creating digital ecosystems within educational institutions and propelling innovation, research, and development on an unprecedented scale.
The memorandum provides professional trainers to collaborate with Huawei experts for a minimum of two weeks in order to develop the curriculum for the Huawei Certification Academy Instructors (HCAI).
Additionally, the memorandum indicates that the parties will engage in a collaborative effort to investigate potential business opportunities, including the organisation of industrial knowledge exchange workshops and the development of a smart campus.
