C-CONNECT Launches in South Africa with Innovative Reward System for Prepaid Mobile Users

C-CONNECT, South Africa’s newest virtual mobile network operator (MVNO), has launched nationwide, to bring more choice and competition to South African mobile subscribers. With a commitment to providing cost-effective mobile services that don’t compromise on quality, C-CONNECT aims to be the first and most rewarding choice for savvy prepaid subscribers. 

The innovative prepaid, SIM-only brand leverages C-Cell’s robust network infrastructure and rewards people for something they already do, so that they can spend more on the things they really want. When subscriber’s top-up their prepaid Airtime or Data, they can earn 10% back in the form of Cha-Chings, the in-app currency, which they can use to buy things that enrich their life. 

Cha-Chings can be exchanged for a wide variety of lifestyle products and services, including products such as prepaid electricity/water and data, tickets for events, and gaming vouchers. This reward system empowers customers to maximise their mobile spending while accessing a range of lifestyle products and services.

New subscribers can sign up on the C-CONNECT app or website to get a SIM delivered to their door or selected pickup point or collect one from an authorised distribution partner. They can complete the full RICA process online without needing to visit a store. Activating the Pocket to receive and spend Cha-Chings is as easy as registering on the website, downloading the C-CONNECT app or dialling *105#.

Customers can top up with Airtime or Data using the C-CONNECT app, online at c-connect.co.za, by dialling USSD (*105#) or buying a voucher at a partner store. They can also recharge with Ringas or Blu Voucher, a universal, single use, prepaid airtime voucher that allows subscribers to top-up their number. Data on the C-CONNECT app and Airtime on the USSD is zero-rated.
