August 14, 2024

Author: Aayushya Ranjan

The Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Economy (MCTEN), Mr. Alioune SALL, chaired, alongside the Director General of ARTP, Mr. Dahirou THIAM, the launch of the national days on the regulation of electronic communications, which will take place on August 8 and 9, 2024 in Dakar.

Earlier in the morning, workshops brought together all the players in the ecosystem to discuss, in an open and frank setting, the issues of regulation and the development of the sector, in order to agree on concerted solutions.

These days of consultation perfectly illustrate the vision that Mr. Dahirou THIAM wishes to give to the electronic communications sector, a commitment that he ensures thanks to the confidence granted by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE.

The recommendations resulting from these days of consultation will feed into an ARTP action plan, thus making it possible to respond to the various issues raised during these two days.
