Airtel Networks Zambia, in its role as the current chair of the Global System for Mobile Communication Association of Zambia (GSMAZ), has spearheaded a collaborative effort with ZICTA, MTN, Zamtel, and ZedMobile for a joint Market Storm event at Chawama Grounds in Lusaka.

The initiative aimed to increase awareness about key innovations in the telecommunications sector. Highlights of the event included the introduction of measures to phase out traditional scratch cards and the launch of the *707# short code for reporting stolen phones.

This joint effort underscores the commitment of the participating organizations to advancing Zambia’s telecommunications sector. By promoting these innovations, the group seeks to enhance the security, efficiency, and digital transformation of the industry, ultimately fostering growth, inclusivity, and economic development in Zambia.
