Chpter, an AI-driven conversational commerce platform, has successfully raised $1.2 million in a Pre-Seed funding round to expand its business across Africa. The funding was led by Ken Njoroge of PANI, with participation from prominent investors including Plesion Capital, Techstars, Norrsken, Renew Capital, ViKtoria Ventures, and angel investors like NALA Founder Benjamin Fernandes and Workpay Cofounders Paul Kimani and Jackson Kibigo.

Launched in Kenya in 2022, Chpter aims to use this investment to accelerate the development of its platform, which allows businesses to enhance their sales through social media channels such as WhatsApp and Instagram. The funds will also support the company’s efforts to expand its presence across Sub-Saharan Africa and boost its sales and marketing to meet increasing demand from top brands.
