MTN Group has addressed recent media reports regarding allegations made against members of its executive team. In response, the Group’s Board held a special meeting on 4 September 2024 to review findings from an independent investigation conducted by a law firm, supported by legal counsel.

The investigation was launched following an anonymous complaint against certain MTN executives. However, the independent report found no evidence of improper conduct, noting that efforts to engage with the complainant were unsuccessful. After reviewing the findings, the Board accepted the conclusions of the report and declared the matter closed.

Additionally, the Board reaffirmed its full support for the Group CEO and the company’s strategic direction, putting an end to the allegations and signaling confidence in the leadership team.
