Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technology has reportedly introduced a new regulation aimed at improving service quality within the telecommunications sector. According to the reports available, under the new regulation, telecom companies and internet service providers (ISPs) may face a US$5,000 fine if they fail to deliver reliable and consistent services.

The Ministry’s action is designed to push service providers to enhance their infrastructure, ensuring that users across the country have access to dependable communication services that are vital for economic growth and digital transformation.
