ITU and UNDP to Host SDG Digital, Advancing Digital Solutions for the SDGs
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are preparing for the highly anticipated SDG Digital event, scheduled for September 20-21 in New York. Building on the success of last year’s SDG Digital, this year’s event promises to be a pivotal platform in leveraging digital innovation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aligning with the broader agenda of the UN General Assembly and the Summit of the Future.
SDG Digital will showcase how digital technologies can pave the way for a more sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future. The event will bring together leaders from various sectors—including government, civil society, the private sector, youth, and academia—to explore the potential of digital and emerging technologies. Participants will delve into the trends, risks, and opportunities these technologies present, driving forward the global agenda for sustainable development.
As part of the digital track of the Summit of the Future Action Days, SDG Digital aims to foster a global dialogue on creating a digital future for all. Attendees are encouraged to contribute their perspectives and share their visions, helping to shape the future of digital innovation and its role in advancing the SDGs.
