September 23, 2024

Author: Aayushya Ranjan

The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has set October 8, 2024, as the deadline for the grace period for digital content platform service providers to comply with the “Regulations for Providing Digital Content Platform Services.” This regulation targets both local and international providers, requiring them to either submit an application for a license, registration, or notification.

The move aims to streamline the digital content industry and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, boosting service quality and protecting consumers. Platforms that fail to comply by this date may face penalties or service disruptions.
