Ethio Telecom Pursues Strategic Partnership with Shandong Hi-Speed for Hyperscale Data Center

Ethio Telecom is in strategic talks with Shandong Hi-Speed Group Co. Ltd. about building a hyperscale datacenter.

The CEO, Frehiwot Tamru has engaged in discussions with Shandong Hi-Speed Group Co. Ltd GM, Mr. Cal Kun regarding the construction of a Hyper-Scale Data Center. Shandong has expressed its willingness to collaborate with Ethio telecom in both the construction and financing of the data center, forming a strategic partnership aimed at advancing Ethiopia’s digital infrastructure.

This initiative will play a crucial role in realizing Ethiopia’s digital transformation and continue building the digital economy by providing a reliable, scalable and future proof digital infrastructure.

Ethio telecom continues actively seeking strategic partnerships to support its Lead Growth Strategy and advance the vision of a Digital Ethiopia. These partnerships are critical to driving innovation, building the ecosystem, enhancing digital services, and establishing the infrastructure necessary for Ethiopia’s digital transformation.
