Safaricom Ethiopia Donates ETB 28 Million in Educational Support to Schools Across Nine Regions

Safaricom Ethiopia has announced a donation of educational support materials valued at ETB 28 million to schools across various regions.

This contribution includes high-spec laptop computers, internet routers, and six months of unlimited internet service for ICT laboratories. We have also provided exercise books and pens for government schools in nine regions, covering 13 cities.

The donations were distributed in Adama, Semera, Arbaminch, Wolaita Sodo, Bahir Dar, Hawassa, Chiro, Bishoftu, Mekelle, Jigjiga, Harar, and Dire Dawa. In total, Safaricom provided 395 laptops, 95 routers, and 72,000 exercise books.

This initiative underscores their commitment to enhancing the capacity of educational institutions in Ethiopia. Safaricom Ethiopia stated is dedicated to further supporting the education sector, particularly in ICT and digital initiatives, and aims to extend similar assistance to other regions of the country.
