An Italian-operated space center in Kenya is set to resume operations for launching Earth observation satellites, according to Adolfo Urso, the Minister of Economic Development of Italy. As reported by Reuters this initiative, announced on Sunday, will also focus on training local students, industry experts, and scientists.

The reactivation of the space center is expected to occur in the coming years, reflecting a collaborative effort between the Italian and Kenyan governments. This initiative aligns with Italy’s Mattei Plan, a development strategy aimed at strengthening partnerships with African nations.
