Vodacom Celebrates 30 Years with High-Level Discussions on Digital Transformation in South Africa
In celebration of Vodacom’s 30th anniversary, senior executives from Vodacom and Vodafone, including Margherita Della Valle, Group CEO of Vodafone, Joakim Reiter, Chief External and Corporate Affairs Officer, and Shameel Joosub, Group CEO of Vodacom, met with President Cyril Ramaphosa and key government officials, Minister Parks Tau and Minister Solly Malatsi.
The discussions centered on expanding the role of digitalisation in South Africa’s development and the company’s continued investment in the region.
President Ramaphosa reportedly shares the confidence in the positive impact digitalisation can have on South Africa, noting its capacity to drive inclusive economic growth, enhance public services, and strengthen the nation’s digital economy.
