Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, visited Kano to assess the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Digital Innovation Park, which had been vandalized earlier this year. The park, a key facility for advancing Nigeria’s digital economy, had been intended for the hands-on learning and innovation of participants in the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program.
During his visit, Dr. Tijani announced that IHS Towers has committed to fully renovating the facility. This restoration will allow the Park to fulfill its role in equipping 3MTT fellows with practical experience, an essential step toward building a skilled workforce in Nigeria’s growing digital sector.
Dr. Tijani also took the opportunity to meet with 3MTT fellows in Kano, sharing his belief in their potential as the future of the global digital workforce. He emphasized that their dreams and aspirations are valid, and that the renovated facility will help empower them to achieve those goals.
In addition, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the Kano State Government, led by Executive Governor H.E. Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for their warm welcome and continued support of the government’s efforts to enhance digital education and innovation across the country.
