MTN Nigeria CFO Warns of Potential Investment Loss in Telecom Sector

October 17, 2024

Multiple reports have surfaced reporting that Module Kadri, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MTN Nigeria, has reportedly raised concerns regarding the potential loss of investment in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector. Kadri has reportedly warned that without appropriate pricing strategies, the sector could face challenges similar to those experienced in the oil industry.

He reportedly emphasized the complexities of the telecommunications landscape, noting that a significant portion of the industry’s products is imported. This reliance on imports complicates pricing dynamics and makes the sector vulnerable to fluctuations in global markets.

The CFO’s comments could highlight the urgent need for stakeholders to address pricing issues to sustain investment and ensure the growth of Nigeria’s telecommunications infrastructure.
