Airtel Uganda’s MD  manoj murali paid a courtesy farewell visit to the Uganda Communications Commission ED – Hon  George William Nyombi Thembo.
He expressed gratitude for the support extended to him and the business as we expanded access to digital and financial services across the country.

I arrived in Uganda during Lockdown and our task was to keep the country connected and the economy working and learning from home. I feel honored to have achieved that until the country reopened. We have been able to deliver even more innovative products, services, and campaigns like 5G, e-SIM and a strong distribution network of service centres and agents. Most importantly we listed Airtel Uganda in a successful IPO. I thank the UCC leadership for the support on journey.

manoj murali, MD, Airtel Uganda

On his part, Hon Nyombi congratulated manoj for his dedicated service to Uganda by leading a wonderful team at Airtel that continues to increase access, coverage, and affordability of ICT services across the country.

As a regulator, I thank you for your personal contribution to the sector. Having improved market stability, growth in new services, in revenues and allowing Ugandans to share in the success of Airtel will forever be appreciated. I will you the best of luck.

Hon  George William Nyombi Thembo, ED, Uganda Communications Commission
