Nigeria’s Digital Economy Gets a Boost as FibreFund Project Receives World Bank Backing

Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, has announced significant progress on the country’s ambitious 90,000km FibreFund project. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Tijani shared news of a major boost to the initiative, following productive discussions in Washington, D.C., with the World Bank. The FibreFund project aims to drastically improve broadband infrastructure across Nigeria, enhancing connectivity for businesses and citizens alike.

As Nigeria continues to strengthen its digital infrastructure, the FibreFund will be a crucial element in connecting underserved areas and fostering technological advancement.
