Safaricom Foundation and Vodafone Foundation, in collaboration with Kenya’s Ministry of Education, have unveiled a transformative Ksh240 million programme at Machakos Teachers Training College. This new initiative, aimed at building digital competency within the education sector, will enable teachers in 35 Teachers Training Colleges nationwide to acquire essential ICT skills.

By equipping educators with the knowledge and tools to integrate digital technology into their teaching, the program seeks to create a foundation for Kenya’s next generation of digitally skilled learners, empowering students to meet the demands of a technology-driven world.

This joint effort reinforces the commitment to enhanced, inclusive education for all, marking a significant step towards closing the digital gap in Kenya’s education system.
