Elon Musk Highlights Starlink’s Urban Expansion in Africa

November 5, 2024

Elon Musk announced via platform X  that Starlink is actively working to boost internet capacity in densely populated urban areas across Africa, aiming to accelerate its services in regions with high connectivity demands. Musk emphasized Starlink’s commitment to rapid expansion within city centers to meet the growing need for reliable internet access.

However, he also noted that substantial Starlink capacity remains available outside these urban hubs, suggesting that users in more remote or less populated areas can still benefit from strong connectivity.

This update could underscores Starlink’s dual focus: addressing immediate, high-demand urban requirements while maintaining robust coverage across broader areas, supporting Africa’s overall digital landscape transformation.
