ZimSat-2 Launch Marks Milestone for Zimbabwe’s Satellite Development Efforts

A record number of satellites were launched into orbit simultaneously from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia.

Among these satellites was ZimSat-2, developed through a collaboration between Southwest State University and the National Geospatial and Space Agency of Zimbabwe.

This satellite is equipped for remote sensing of the Earth, contributing valuable data for various applications.

The successful launch highlights the expanding capabilities of the African nation in the field of satellite development.
